1. Shorba

Soup made from lentils, carrots, potatoes, onion and vegetable stock.

All Entrees are served with Injera.

Make your own combination from the following list (1-12). 
A combination of three items is suggested for one serving.

Non - vegetarian dishes

1. Alicha Sega Wat (beef)

Tender beef cubes simmered in kibae, onion, turmeric and flavored with various spices.

2. Asa Wat (fish)

Shredded fish simmered with berbere, garlic and onion. (Available only on weekends.)

3. Doro Wat (chicken)

Chicken simmered in kibae, berbere, onion and a tasty combination of seasoning. The Doro Wat is traditionally served with hard-boiled eggs. (Request for egg.)

4. Kye Sega Wat (beef)

Tender beef cubes simmered in berbere and flavored with various spices.

5. Yebeg Alicha Sega Wat (lamb)

Lamb cubes simmered in kibae, onion, turmeric and herbs.

Vegetarian dishes

6. Azifah (lentil)

Whole brown lentils blended with onion, green pepper and spices. Served cold.

7. Fosolia (string beans)

Lightly spiced string beans cooked with carrots and onion.

8. Gomen (collard greens)

Chopped collard greens cooked with garlic and onion.

9. Misir Wat (lentils)

Red split lentils cooked with onion, berbere and herbs.

10. Shiro Wat (peas)

Ground peas cooked with berbere and onion and seasoned with garlic and ginger.

11. Tikil Gomen (cabbage)

Lightly spiced cabbage, carrots and potatoes.

12. Yekik Alicha (split peas)

Yellow split peas cooked with onion, turmeric and herbs.

13. Lalibela Exclusive (suggested for a party of three)

A combination of doro wat, kye sega wat, alicha sega wat, misir wat, gomen, yebere sega tibs, fosolia, yebeg alicha sega wat, tikil gomen and yekik alicha served with ayeb and selata.

14. Vegetarian Exclusive (suggested for a party of three)

A combination of azifah, fosolia, gomen, misir wat, shiro wat, tikil gomen and yekik alicha served with selata.

15. Meat Combination

A combination of doro wat, kye sega wat and alicha sega wat served with selata.

16. Vegetable Combination

A combination of misir wat, gomen, tikil gomen and fosolia served with selata.

17. Spicy Combination

A combination of doro wat, kye sega wat and misir wat served with selata.

18. Mild Combination

A combination of yebeg alicha sega wat, alicha sega wat and fosolia served with selata.

19. Chef’s Favorite Combination

A combination of doro wat, gomen and ayeb served with selata.

20. Manager’s Choice

A combination of kye sega wat, tikil gomen and yekik alicha served with selata.

21. Kitfo (beef)

Lean tender beef finely chopped and mixed with mitmita, cardamom and kibae. Served raw or slightly cooked. Served with your choice of gomen or ayeb and selata.

22. Yebere Sega Tibs (beef)

Lean beef cubes pan fried with jalapeno, onion and rosemary. Served with selata.

23. Yawaze Yebere Tibs (spicy beef)

Lean beef cubes pan fried with jalapeno, onion, rosemary and awaze.

24. Yebeg Sega Tibs (lamb)

Lamb cubes pan fried with jalapeno, onion and rosemary. Served with selata.

Glossary of general terms

Awaze: A paste made from berbere.

Berbere: A combination of red chili powder and spices.

Kibae: Purified butter mixed with various spices.

Mitmita: Very hot red chili powder and spices.

Wat: A stew like sauce made from a variety of ingredients such as vegetables, beef, chicken, lamb or fish.
